We’re proud of the furniture we offer for a number of reasons, none greater than the fact that our furniture manufacturers understand that quality and craftsmanship are central to every piece they develop, using only sustainably harvested, recycled or reclaimed raw materials in the process.  "Sustainably harvested" refers to woods that are taken only in quantities equal to (or less than) what the forest can reproduce. A well managed forest can produce plenty of wood while keeping the diversity and integrity of the ecosystem healthy.

Recycled and reclaimed hardwoods are often woods that were harvested generations ago and forgotten, reclaimed woods gathered from orchards, river and lake beds, back yards, warehouses, bridges, and railroad ties.  These "re-used" hardwoods, including maple, douglas fir, teak, and palm, are comparable to  "old growth" hardwoods, and provide some of the highest quality woods available. Smooth, durable and solid, rich in color and tighter grained, these hardwoods provide spectacular material for furniture making without harming the environment or touching any of the earth's forests.
